Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Construction Management Services
Overview
The TTC's Engineering, Construction and Expansion Group (EC&E) are responsible for the delivery of capital projects and providing construction management expertise, support and resources to other Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) groups and departments, as part of a multi-year Capital and Operating Budget.
The TTC Construction Department is responsible for delivery, management and support of various Capital Projects within the TTC 10 year Capital Program budget of approximately $2.3 billion from initiation to completion including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, design management, construction management, cost controls and other requirements needed for the progression of projects in a cost effective, timely and safe manner to meet the expected quality. Our Services
In 2019, Comtech was selected to provide Construction Management Services (CMS) to the TTC and we took over the CMS work from another service provider. We are an integrated partner working with TTC to manage their capital construction projects with respect to safety, quality, schedule, cost, commercial and risk management. Comtech is providing the TTC with the following Construction Management services:
- Construction Inspection and reviews to monitor construction progress, quality and safety to protect the public, construction personnel and property
- Constructability Reviews
- Inspect, Monitor and Report on the Contractors’ daily activities
- Certify Contractors’ requests for payments
