Overview:
The Darlington Nuclear Generating Station is one of the top-performing nuclear stations in the world. The power plant has been producing about 20 percent of Ontario's electricity since the early 1990s. Now, after decades of reliable power generation, this clean energy source is undergoing a mid-life refurbishment that will benefit Ontarians for another 30 years. In 2016 Ontario Power Generation (OPG), which owns the Darlington site, received approval to commence a $12.8 billion refurbishment project servicing all four CANDU reactors at the Darlington nuclear generating station. The project will take until 2026 to complete.
Comtech is supporting OPG in the provision of Project Control services for the Darlington Refurbishment Program. The services being provided by Comtech are supporting OPG's refurbishment of its four reactor units at the Darlington Nuclear Facility.
